Using Social Stories™ and Comic Strip Conversations

Using Social Stories™ and Comic Strip Conversations to Support Social Behaviours and Theory of Mind Competencies of Children with ASC (Tiffany L. Hutchins & Patricia A. Prelock study 2017)

Presented Jenny Haines and Maria-Niki Bartzakos

Social stories™ and Comic Strips conversations were created by Carol Gray in 1991. They are simplified descriptions of a particular situation, event or activity and provide specific information about what to expect and why. This happens through conversations and drawings.

In this workshop will discuss the benefits of using these techniques, how to use them and how to write your own. Social Stories™ and Comic Strip Conversations can be used with any individual on the Autism Spectrum.

Please note that the workshop will be presented in English, however we will answer questions and distribute material in French.
