Chartwell Rosemont Les Quartiers

Giant Steps has developed an ongoing partnership with Chartwell Rosemont Les Quartiers, a retirement residence in the Angus neighbourhood. The collaboration combines autism training for Chartwell teams with intergenerational activities that bring students and residents together throughout the year.

As part of the partnership, Chartwell has showcased artwork created by Giant Steps students. The exhibition allowed residents to discover the students’ creative journeys and celebrate their talents, while creating opportunities for conversation and connection.

Students also share handmade holiday cards and participate in seasonal activities, including Halloween celebrations with residents. Through art, creativity and shared experiences, the partnership builds meaningful relationships, encourages community participation and creates a stronger sense of belonging across generations.
