Cuisine du Cœur (Kind Kitchen)

Cuisine du Cœur is more than a community kitchen. It is a hands-on learning environment where autistic adults develop practical culinary, daily living and workplace skills while giving back to the community.

Participants learn about food preparation, food safety, nutrition and budgeting, helping them build confidence and greater independence. They also operate a small coffee shop, gaining valuable experience in customer service, teamwork and food service.

Since its launch, Cuisine du Cœur has welcomed more than 30 participants, prepared over 3,200 desserts, catered 14 events and donated more than 1,000 sandwiches and 80 litres of soup and chili to community organizations. Participants have also prepared healthy lunch boxes in partnership with Insertech.

Through collaborations with Insertech, MOSA, Nikon Optical Canada, BNP Paribas in Canada and other community partners, Cuisine du Cœur creates meaningful learning experiences while promoting food education, reducing waste and strengthening community connections through the shared pleasure of cooking.
